Apple iPhone 15 Series Might Overhaul Pricing Strategy In 2023; Might Cost Less than the Pre-cursors

Apple's next-generation iPhone 15 lineup has been subject to multiple early rumors. In a report earlier this month, the iPhone 15 Ultra's pricing strategy was revealed, with claims that it might be the most expensive iPhone ever. From the looks of it, the news might be valid.

Since Ultra’s price abounds a massive hike, the lower-end siblings from the lineup should also bear a similar effect. A new report by Naver adds it may be time for Apple to overhaul its pricing and marketing strategy for the 2023 iPhones.

According to the tipster, Apple may be on the verge of revamping its pricing and marketing strategy for the iPhone 15 series since the current non-Pro iPhone 14 and 14 Plus did not perform well in terms of sales. The Pro models, however, are doing well in the market.

The reason’s easy to estimate. Apple broke its norm of equipping all iPhone 14 models with the same specs (apart from usual differences like size, cameras, and batteries). Non-Pro iPhones inherited the CPU and aesthetics from their forerunners. Meanwhile, both impending accumulations to the iPhone price list boast new designs and upgraded features.

Initially, Naver suggests that Apple might reduce the differences between its non-Pro and Pro models to get sales back on track. It's possible since previous rumors have already pointed out that the entire iPhone 15 line will hold Dynamic Island screens.

Additionally, the tipster claims that Apple will increase the price gap between Pros and non-Pros to justify the low-end nature of iPhone 15 plus and 15. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that there will be a more significant difference between the Pro & non-Pro models and between the iPhone 15 Pro & Max models. He mentions that Pro max is to convert its name to Ultra.
