Apple iPhone 15 to Feature Titanium Chassis with Rear Side Beveled Corners plus Edges

Apple Inc. might be rethinking the design of its yet-to-be-deployed iPhone 15 series. In the immediate aftermath of the iPhone 14 series unveiling, speculations about the consecutive lineup are picking up the pace. 15-series details are getting unwrapped every once in a while.

Moments ago, a fresh leak popped up on the web, claiming a grand design revamp in upcoming iPhones. Since the leak came directly from the well-versed tipster, ShrimpApplePro, it sounds confident and believable.

While sharing the images, the tipster adds that the new iPhone 15 line will give up the right-angled, palm-jabbing, edgy borders for a slightly more comfortable-to-hold frame. And the Cupertino conglomerate plans to achieve it by slightly beveling-away (rounding) at the edges.

The adjustments seem visible enough to be regarded as a design change. Amid the series of claims on Twitter, the tipster compares the new iPhone model with 2013’s iPhone 5c in an old post — a plastic-back design featuring quite a cheap build. However, these rumors are too early to be taken as is.

ShrimpApplePro and many more tipsters have now corroborated the titanium build amid the upcoming iPhone 15 series. The statement is vague, so it’s unclear whether that’s true for the entire lineup or just a single phone.

Gossip-mill claims that the titanium chassis will only be exclusive to the Ultra model iPhone 15. With the expectation to leverage titanium armor, Apple Inc. will add extra durability, lighter heft, and scratch resistance to the handset. And If all that turns out to be accurate, the Ultra's price might spike due to titanium's high cost.
