Apple iPhone 16 & 16 Plus are Out; Updated Looks, A18 Chips, and 48MP Fusion Camera

Their Apple event last day had a lot that took us by surprise. But there were some things we already knew were coming. iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max are the handsets they announced at the event. And of the four, two overhaul their looks entirely.

Squircle island or diagonal lens layouts are gone. What we have this time with the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus is a throwback to the iPhone X & XS builds. And because of that, it feels as if the base iPhone 16s got an identity of their own this time.

That camera design has changed, but so has the sensor type within. There's a two-in-one system it will use in a single lens. We hear this system is a fusion 48 MP camera that does 2x optical telephoto zoom. But the other lens has the same old 12 MP ultrawide.

You can find the Capture button on all four new iPhones, and this will be your dedicated shutter tap when you take photos. There's no physical click like the other button, but it does have haptic feedback. Press it once for photos or long-press so you can record a video on your new Apple's upcoming iPhone

6.1" is a very compact size of the base iPhone 16. iPhone 16 Plus will be 6.7". Don't go expecting ProMotion 120Hz with those panels. All they can do is standard 60Hz. At least both of them have OLEDs and 2000nits brightnesses. Pro variant A18 Chip only comes in the iPhone 16 Pro duo.

iPhone 16 and 16 Plus pull the hard labor with an Apple A18 non-Pro chip 10-core CPU and a 5-core GPU. But the difference won't be noticeable to the general user. Both base options can do 25W MagSafe and 15W Qi Wireless fast charge. iPhone 16 has a base price of $799 (~PKR 222,000), but the iPhone 16 Plus will cost $899 (~PKR 250,000).
