Apple iPhone 16 Event Scheduled for September 9th — Mark Your Calendars

No need for the guessing games anymore, because Apple has finally announced the iPhone 16 series launch date. They will take it to the stage on September 9th, 5 PM UTC. Media invites to cover the event are going out and Mark Gurman has shared an image with a tagline: “It’s Glowtime.”

Of course, their iPhone 16 family is taking to the red carpet, but we hear Apple Watch Series 10 and New AirPods will also tag along. We don’t see the event and retail deployments happening on the same day. There will be a pre-order window for all products, especially iPhones.

It was close, but Gurman’s tip about the event was off by one day. But there’s still some merit to his guess about the pre-order window. September 9th is when the Apple event’s due. His previous report suggested September 20th is when the iPhone 16 should appear in stores.

Apple hasn’t commented on what its plans are or what the tagline describes. But their schemes couldn’t be more obvious from all the build-up, leaks, and reports we have gathered. SonySaysHi leaked that all of Apple's upcoming iPhone 16s do indeed have Capture buttons. Apple A18 and A18 Pro chips are new.

They’ve also cooked up Apple Intelligence due to the competition. And throughout the year we’ve had reports saying 16 series iPhones are bigger and have far thinner bezels. This year’s event will not be as repetitive. That’s a given. A few more days until release and we’ll know all the rest.
