The anticipation for the upcoming iPhone 16 series is building. While the launch is still a distant event, MacRumors is treating us to some render images based on prototypes of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Here’s what the rumor entails.

Codenamed Diablo and Lightning, respectively, these devices may look familiar at first glance, but subtle changes are brewing beneath the surface. The standout alterations include a larger screen and the introduction of a capacitive Capture button on the right side, positioned below the power button.

The iPhone 16 Pro will likely boast a 6.27-inch screen diagonally, with preliminary dimensions measuring 149.6 x 71.45 x 8.25mm and a weight of 194 grams. Meanwhile, its larger sibling, the 16 Pro Max, may flaunt up to 6.85 inches of screen real estate with dimensions of 163 x 77.58 x 8.25mm and a weight reading of 225 grams.

To enhance their camera performance, both models abound to receive updated 48MP ultrawide cameras, with the smaller 16 Pro securing a 5x tetraprism zoom lens. However, the real champion will be the all-new Capture button, a hardware tweak exclusive to the new iPhone models

Sporting a force feedback sensor and seamlessly flush with the phone's frame, this button may serve as a nifty shortcut for the camera app. However, Its introduction prompts Apple to relocate its US-exclusive mmWave antenna to the left side, adapting to the evolving design dynamics.

With the Apple iPhone 16 Pro series gearing up for a debut in September, these renders offer an early glimpse into the minor yet impactful tweaks shaping Apple's next-gen devices. Stay tuned for more updates on the subject as we approach the unveiling.
