With Apple’s iPhone 16 series inaugurating in a few months, we are witnessing a slew of hyper-credible leaks in the mainstream media. The most recent ones are from X (AKA Twitter), where we found dummy units of all four upcoming iPhone 16 models captured side-by-side for size comparison.
It seems that the rumors about size adjustments were true and buyers are indeed going to receive Pro models with 6.3 and 6.9-inch configurations. Albeit, the non-Pro model will maintain the older 6.1 and 6.7-inch builds. By comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is colossal.
Tipster Sonny Dickson also corroborates the design changes befalling the non-Pro iPhone 16 series. From the picture of those dummy units, it is easy to distinguish the new look Apple is aiming for. Per the leak, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will finally drop the diagonal arrangement for rear cameras.
The design language for the standard Apple iPhone new models now aligns more with the 5-year-old iPhone X series. Two lenses vertically stacked in a pill-shaped landing region seem to be a refreshing change in Apple’s repetitive design process.
Save from a nostalgic design shift, no major changes in appearance seem imminent. There are some rumors about new colors for the iPhone 16 lineup but none of them seem credit worthy. Internally, there are quite a few upgrades you can expect.
The main focus for the upcoming iPhone 16s is the spatial videos, hence the change in camera arrangements. There are some camera enhancements and a new Apple A18 Bionic series chipset locked in for all four products. From the get-go iOS 18 will exist inside these phones imbued with AI-focused features.
