iPhone 17 Air Dummy Leak Showcases Ultra-Thin Design Beside iPhone 16e

The iPhone 17 Air is showing up in leaks more often than before. Just yesterday, the slim phone was spotted on the web with dummy images next to an iPhone 16e model to show precisely how thin this device could be. These images are yet another proof that Apple’s working on a Slim iPhone Air behind the scenes.

The rumor mill has been tracking the iPhone 17 Air’s progress throughout the R&D. All the leaks and reports piling up on the internet confirm some key aspects of the new Air model that you should know about. The first thing confirmed by the dummy pics is its design.

It’s part of the iPhone 17 family, which allegedly uses a camera bar instead of the square island on both iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. That’s why you see the iPhone 17 Air sporting a single lens on an extended camera tray. The source behind these images showed Apple’s Air model next to a 7.8mm iPhone 16e for a better perspective.

Previous reports about the iPhone 17 Air left several clues that the device could be 5.4mm thin. Looking at the renders and leaked dummy images, the previous claims seem more and more accurate. The images released by Majin Bu on X were quite helpful, but the newcomer’s internal specs are anyone’s guess. As for the pricing, the Apple iPhone price list could offer some insights, but until official details are confirmed, everything remains speculative.

Some rumors on the internet claim that the iPhone 17 Air might be a 6.6” model, but due to the lack of credibility, those reports were quickly dismissed. Others on the internet suggest that the device will be so thin that it would lack a bottom-firing speaker.

Of course, this goes without saying that the iPhone 17 Air achieves the 5.4mm thickness by making a compromise on the battery. The exact figures haven’t been revealed yet, but the cell capacity might be disappointing on the new iPhone 17 Air.

The price tag for the iPhone 17 Air was rumored to be $899 in the US, but due to changing tariffs in the country, we might see a sticker price way higher than this. It’s uncertain how this change will affect the iPhone cost in other regions. We now wait for more sources to confirm the missing details. So stick around if you want to stay in the loop.
