Apple iPhone 17 Models to Retain the Same Dynamic Island Size as iPhone 16 Series

Apple will release the iPhone 17 lineup in a few months, though its secrets are already making headlines day after day. The rumor mill has been ruthless, busting details about these oncoming phones, and we have another report to add to the collection, talking about their screens.

This leak is about the Dynamic Island on iPhone 17 devices. Apple Supply Chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is the source of new information on the subject. He believes Apple has no plans to change the Dynamic Island on the phones, vis-à-vis its size and proportions to the screen.

All iPhone 17s might have the same Dynamic island as the current iPhone 16 series, and this new report counters all the previous suspicions of the shrinking Dynamic Island this year. Ming-Chi Kuo’s leaks are generally considered more authentic, so the news media is giving this new information precedence over earlier reports.

The Dynamic Island might shrink in future generations, but sadly, the iPhone 17 squad will still have the same old intrusive camera cutouts on their screens. Meanwhile, the latest iPhone price remains a hot topic. Of course, we advise taking this report with a pinch of salt because no offical source has confirmed it yet.

If there’s any development on the subject, you’ll hear it from our news portal first. Dynamic Island size is only a sliver of what we have found about these devices in earlier leaks. The rumor mill allegedly found the iPhone design in concept renders.

We even saw a real-life iPhone 17 image on an X leak by Majin Bu. It looked like the shell of a larger and smaller iPhone duo since both had Apple logos in the midsection. The leaker claimed this design seems confirmed for the iPhone 17, which is still under scrutiny. It might not pan out, but the premise is intriguing.

iPhone 17 wants to let go of the square camera island. This will be replaced by a horizontal camera strip on top of the shell. Another leaker said that all iPhone 17 handsets will have high refresh rates, be it 90Hz for vanilla models or full ProMotion 120Hz for Pro.

It’s still far better than the 60Hz base iPhone 16 provides. iPhone 16E/SE 4 might be the only Apple phone this year limited to 60Hz. We might be hearing more on the subject later, so stay tuned for updates.
