Apple iPhone 17 Pro Concept Renders Envision the New Camera Design

Apple has been dragging the same iPhone design for over four generations, but it might change next year. A new leak on YouTube envisions what the iPhone 17 Pro Max might look like if all the rumors and reports pan out as claimed. This is everything you ought to know.

A Russian YouTube channel posted a clip that displays the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s rumor-based concept from all angles with a horizontal camera strip running across the upper half of its chassis. This design has a familiar pixel-esque look to it. Of course, the front design with a Dynamic island won’t change at all.

This new design helps hide the camera lenses under a glass strip, instead of the outer protruding cameras on current iPhones. This already solves the problem of dust accumulation around the triple-lens assortment on the iPhone 11 Pro Max and onward.

So far, we’ve only seen incremental changes in design from 11th-generation iPhones to iPhone 16 Pro Max, so this will be the first major change in appearance for Apple handsets. Apple's future iPhones will include more changes to the build material, switching the Titanium mid-body, to a full Aluminium chassis.

This concept iPhone 17 Pro Max render shouldn’t be treated as the finalized design and there’s no official confirmation to corroborate its legitimacy; that goes without saying. Till the official launch, we will find more leaks, theories, and clues to see if this new design becomes a reality.

Design aside, specs that are almost inevitable with the iPhone 17 Pro Max series are the Apple A18 Pro silicon and 6.9” display. TSMC’s third-gen 3nm N3P node might be behind the fabrication of this new chipset and for the first time, 12 GB RAM for 17 Pro and Pro Max.
