Apple iPhone 17 Series Leaked; ProMotion for All Models, Likely to Introduce iPhone 17 Slim

After they release the iPhone 16 series in September 2024, they will quickly move on to R&D-ing the next batch. Leaks and discussions on the ‘iPhone 17 series’ are growing ever so slightly each day. And we spotted something today that might interest you iPhone-loving folks.

The details here are part of a Weibo post by IceUniverse. Exactly four models are to debut with the iPhone 17 batch. One will be iPhone 17, and the other will be iPhone 17 Slim. Then, you have the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in the upper half of the ladder.

Ice’s datasheet has iPhone 17 and 17 Pro slated for 6.27” screens. Because that has been a trend at Apple for over four years, we believe they have similar screen sizes. But, there will be a size disparity between the 17 Slim and 17 Pro Max.

17 Slim that replaces the Plus variant will be 6.65” in size. But their iPhone 17 Pro Max will be 6.86.” But hopefully, that’s where all the discrimination ends. Also foreshadowed in the post is the 120Hz ProMotion and LTPO refresh rate on all Apple's coming iPhone models. So, there’s nothing much to lose in screen quality, even at the bottom.

Also, all iPhone 17s will have Dynamic Island. Of course, they will all move on to better chipsets. Apple A19 docked inside 17 and 17 Slim. Apple A19 Pro may be the silicon for the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. But those may not be the only upgrades next year.

Apple will switch it up and use a triple 48 MP lens configuration for the Pro models. Among the details, the datasheet had prices. The iPhone 17 may cost 799 USD, and 17 Slim will be around 1,299 USD. Those Pro siblings may cost 1,099 and 1,199 USD, the prices we are currently familiar with.
