Apple iPhone SE 4 Awaits a Full Design Overhaul with OLED; Insider Report Spills the Details

For the past three generations, iPhone SE designs have been a point of ridicule, at least for us tech heads. They seem stuck in 2017 — an era when touch IDs and chunky bezels were the norm for iPhones. Even the iPhone SE 3 from 2022 looked like an iPhone 8 from ancient times. Well, no more, it seems.

Apple has thought of a new look for the upcoming iPhone SE. We don’t want to color your opinions the wrong way. It will be new, alright. But technically familiar. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman gave an optimistic report on the changes coming to iPhone SE design.

The Power On newsletter by this Apple insider confirms what the internet has suspected all along. The iPhone SE 4 will come with newer hardware and the modern look of an iPhone 14. He says the device will take the stage in 2025, and its features will be on par with the latest iPhones.

Gurman believes that the iPhone SE's upcoming model will share Apple’s version of AI with the iPhone 16 series. And his report also mentions an OLED display coming with this phone. It will be the first time an iPhone SE bags an OLED. Merged with the flat rails of an iPhone 14 and a slim notch, we have a solid contender at hand.

Apple Intelligence will be a half-baked feature and a first-ever iteration, even if it reaches the iPhone SE 4. From what we hear in the news media, Apple plans to make a big deal out of its AI on the iPhone 16 series. We can’t be sure of it, but allegedly, Apple’s AI will be a subscription service. So, it may be off-putting for some SE 4 and iPhone 16 buyers.
