Apple’s iPhone SE 4 has been spotted on a case manufacturer’s website, where you can see how this handset fits in a transparent shell. We know that the device is almost out the door, believed to go official within February by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. These new renders give us an early preview of what the end product might look like.

It has been reported that Apple won’t debut the SE 4 with a full-blown launch event. It’s rather set to make the launch as low-key as possible, and sometime in February, a Press release will make this iPhone official. These were the details spilled by the industry’s most credible insider Mark Gurman in last week’s report.

There have been multiple leaks on the same topic as today and these renders are yet another installment in an ongoing spree, but we get to see the device in a whole new perspective here. Also, these renders help us reestablish some parameters we’ve heard rumors about.

Apple iPhone latest price remains a key factor for potential buyers. iPhone SE 4 has a single camera on the back, which is again confirmed by these images. The display has a notch, almost the same size and thickness as an iPhone 14. It’s said that the SE 4 borrowed the 6.1” XDR Super Retina OLED from the iPhone 14, and these renders lend some credibility to this claim.

The reason why Apple moved on from the old design is to give the phone a Face ID. Its notch will support the latest 3D Depth sensor technology for Face detection. The button layout on this iPhone SE is ordinary, also comparable to the iPhone 14. But, the alert slider is replaced by the Magic button.

If you are wondering about the transparent case, it seems to be manufactured by Spigen, which is somewhat of an Apple-approved 3rd party case maker. We see the white color option in these renders, which makes us familiar with at least one of the choices.

One thing is made clear by these images, SE 4 will keep the premium screen quality, but there are no modern features — no Dynamic Island, no fancy refresh rate, and no dual camera. If the rumors pan out, the full facelift for the iPhone SE 4 won’t come with a big price hike. This phone will probably cost $500, which still counts as an affordable category among Apple products.
