Apple’s cooling down after their iPhone 16 launch cycle, and their next target could probably be the iPhone SE 4 if we go by the words of Mark Gurman from Bloomberg. It’s been very hard pinpointing exactly when their next SE 4 will break out because SE launches have been so random in the past.
Mark Gurman may be the best Apple Insider to source a viable launch timeframe for SE 4, and in his last report, there was a claim that the iPhone SE 4 would see the light of day early next year in 2025. If we account for the other arbitrary SE launches in 2016, 2020, and 2022, his assumptions for SE 4 might be on point.
His sources also gave up a lead on SE 4’s model code put in his report as “V59” and this would probably mean it’s in R&D. It will be cheap, that much you can be sure of, and it will be Apple’s answer to entry-tier Androids in China.
The latest iPhone SE models have looked the same for the past two generations, not because this iPhone 8-type design was great, but rather a cheap one, though now we have moved far enough away from it that they will use a modern style for SE 4. Mark Guramn says that it will look more like an iPhone 14.
It’s still not as modern because there will not be better Dynamic keys or even Dynamic Island, but at least, it will go borderless, and there’s a possibility that it will access up to 8GB RAM Apple A18 chip. Even Apple intelligence could come to the iPhone SE 4 in early 2025, something we can look forward to.
