iPhone SE 4 is the next big thing Apple’s working on, and people are quite excited about it. This phone will be a massive upgrade over the old SE 3 in battery, charging speed, and many other things. This is everything we know about their upcoming iPhone SE 4.
Come March next year, the SE 4 will debut and compete in the upper mid-range or even flagship segment. It will get the brand-new Apple A18 chip, the same chip Apple’s iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have debuted with. Put against SE 3’s A15 bionic chip, this will be a game changer.
This A18 SoC is far more conservative of the battery and on top of that, SE 4 will have a capacity boost to 3,279 mAh. On paper, that’s around a 60% gain in battery size compared to SE 3, and that will put this phone right up there with the rest of Apple’s iPhone 16 family.
More info from Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has tipped that Apple’s first self-made 5G modem is also on the way with the iPhone's upcoming SE model. There will be better wireless charging, 15W instead of 7.5W, but the 20W wired charging speed won’t be changed.
iPhone SE 4 is also the first to have MagSafe wireless charging, far better than SE 3’s traditional non-magnetic charging coil. There’s one more change in the wired charging: it’s probably using Type-C rather than the Lightning socket, apropos to the current standard Apple’s following with the iPhone 16 family.
