Apple iPhone SE 4 Reported to Launch in the Upcoming Week

It would seem the Apple iPhone SE 4 launch is closer than we initially thought. Apple wants to kick off the year 2025 with an iPhone release, and per the insider Mark Gurman, it could be the iPhone SE 4, slated to launch in a few days. These are the details we found.

From how others in the tech media report this claim, SE 4 might come out in the next week or so. Gurman’s report claims the launch is only a few days away, which means Apple may not have enough time to prepare for a dedicated launch event on SE 4’s behalf.

The company might just release this device with a press release instead of doing the whole nine yards. But that’s just an assumption at this point. Mark Guman’s inside reports on Apple are usually considered the most accurate, so his recent announcement is making headlines all over the internet.

After next week’s release, the iPhone new model might as well go on sale by the end of this month, with the “leaked” expected price at around $499. It isn’t the official price tag since the company is silent on the subject, but multiple leakers have corroborated this information.

Insiders even observed the short inventory of iPhone SE 3 (2022) at Apple retail stores, which also leads to the conclusion that an SE 4 might be coming soon to replace the older model. There have also been several leaks about its specifications.

SE 4 seems to be the first Apple phone to carry the company’s in-house 5G modem they designed from scratch. This leads them away from expensive outsourced modems from Qualcomm. If this launch is a success, Apple will eventually do the same for all its electronics in the future.

If all the rumors bear any weight, the iPhone SE 4 could look like an iPhone 14, from the screen size, design, and everything else. Of course, if you’ve seen the leaked renders and dummy shots, you know the device has a single camera.

The iPhone SE 4 might debut with a 6.1” XDR super Retina OLED. No more cheap quality IPS LCDs. It’s said that the rear single camera is 48 MP and the Apple A18 chip runs the handset with Apple Intelligence. Apple might even replace its Lightning port with a Type-C, per the EU standards. We’ll watch out for more news as the story develops to keep you in the loop.
