Samsung continues to press the accelerator. The manufacturer has added a new smartphone to its Galaxy A lineup, accompanied by an XXL display and some "premium features" and that too at an acceptable price.
Samsung now seems all prepared to face the growing competition from China, the Galaxy A series has been restructured to serve the very same purpose. After introducing the Galaxy A10, A30, A50, and Samsung A20, the South Korean giant have just launched the Galaxy A70 in Pakistan.
The Samsung Galaxy A70 is equipped with a 6.7-inch Infinity U screen supporting a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The top edge smartphone comes loaded with a notched 20:9 Super AMOLED display, where the notch at the top accommodates a 32-megapixel (f / 2.0) camera. At the back resides A triple camera setup comprised of:
- Main sensor: 32MP, f / 1.7 aperture
- Ultra wide angle: 8MP, f / 2.2 aperture, 123
- Depth sensor: 5MP, f / 2.2 aperture
Under the hood, there is an octa-core processor (2 x 2.0 GHz and 6 x 1.7 GHz) with 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable memory, a battery of 4,500 mAh which supports a fast supercharge of 25 watts. The operating system is Android 9 Pie out of the box, with of course the One UI on top.
Samsung's high-end features on Galaxy A70 include an in-Display fingerprint scanner along with face recognition. However, the face recognition works in 2D and the finger sensor is the optical one, not the ultrasonic one found on the Samsung Galaxy S10 series.
