There had been a few rumors circulating the web that Honor was gearing up for another smartphone launch next month. Shortly after the rumors surfaced, the specs and a promo picture for the upcoming Honor 20S was spotted on Google Console Listings.
Honor has now finally confirmed the rumors surrounding the global release of the newest addition to the Honor 20 lineup with a teaser poster. The phone will be hitting the Chinese market on September 4th but the subsidiary of Huawei is also taking pre-orders right now prior to the launch event.
From the looks of the Honor 20s promo poster, the back features a glossy panel with a blue to white gradient and a three-camera array – which includes a 48 MP primary shooter, paired with an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. And this setup probably the only striking difference between this model and its predecessor – the Honor 20.
Honor ditched the back-mounted fingerprint sensor on 20S, but it’s too early to tell where exactly did they place it. It could either be mounted on the side, or they could have taken a more innovative approach with an in-display sensor.
In the specs department of Honor 20S, you’re looking at a Kirin 980 chip with either 6/8/12 gigs of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage. The punch hole display would be 6.26 inches with FHD+ resolution and the device will ship with Android 9.0 and Magic UI 2.1.
There are three color variants available as of now, namely: Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and finally Icelandic White. The battery would be a minimum of 3650 mAh with 20W support for fast charging.
As of now the price for the new Honor isn’t revealed and neither do we have any official word yet if the 20s will make it to the Pakistani market. Rest assured you'll surely get updated with the precise details when the phone debuts globally on September 4th.
