The Honor GT Pro is the new performance-centric phone in the works, and it might be released right after the Honor Power 8000mAh smartphone. The company teased its “Power” device recently and confirmed a launch date set for April 15th. Rumors suggest that the GT Pro might also go official this month.
Honor is making arrangements for the phone’s launch event, and before its release in the Chinese market, an official 3C certification has popped up on the internet to confirm GT Pro’s imminent launch in the region. Moments later, Digital Chat Station leaked the phone’s specifications on Weibo.
Honor GT Pro is a flagship handset as per the details revealed in DCS’s leak. It has a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which is the fastest processor in the world, built for Android at up to 4.32GHz clock speed. He goes on to share some more details about the device in his Weibo post.
According to him, the display used for the Honor's latest Pro model is a flat AMOLED with 1.5k resolution (1200 x 2664p). It may be the very same panel that’s used by the vanilla Honor GT. The battery supports 90W fast charging, and it could be the same Si/C energy pack used by some other popular Honor devices.
DCS says that the fingerprint used by this device will be advanced. The leaker might be pointing at an Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Apart from these key specs, Digital Chat Station’s leaks didn’t reveal any other details.
In a previous leak, Honor GT Pro was revealed to be a 6.78” OLED device with 1.5k resolution and an Ultrasonic fingerprint reader inside the screen. The source also claimed a 50 MP main camera and a large Si/C battery of 6000mAh capacity.
As for the charging speed, the 3C certification provided clarification. The PPG-AN00 model (Honor GT Pro) was indexed in the 3C database with a maximum input support of 4.5A and 20VDC. That means its charging speed is limited to 90W. Some of the details are still missing, but with the launch just around the corner, we’ll find everything about the device soon.
