Honor, the Huawei sub-brand that has recently transitioned into an independent entity, has reemerged in Pakistan with a bang after a prolonged two-year absence. The brand has launched Honor X5 and Honor X6 Duo, marking a spectacular comeback in the country’s smartphone market.
The Honor X Duo’s build, specs, and prices will leave you starstruck. Being siblings from an entry-level catalog, they boast almost equivalent specs and feature a design on par with the current industry trends. Here’s an in-depth overview.
Honor X5
The phone’s 6.5-inch HD+ display is a visual delight. It boasts an immersive viewing experience using a full-view 20:9 ratio TFT panel at 270PPI. Endowing its forehead is a minimal drop notch that houses a 5MP selfie shooter + Face Unlock — un-common stuff for a budget droid.
The engine running at its core is MTK Helio G25 integrated with PowerVR GE8320 GPU — the SoC top out at a 2.0GHz clock and pairs with 2GB RAM. The phone has an open-slot 32GB storage, expandable by up to 1TB using an SD card.
X5 needs to catch up in the camera department. Though the module is extensive, there’s only one functioning lens to take pictures at an 8MP resolution. Its standard features include micro USB 2.0, a 5000mAh cell, and a 3.5mm audio port; all running on Android 12 Go OS. Its official price tag is PKR 31,999.
Honor X6
Honor X6 costs more, but it adds value back with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a full-fledged version of Andorid 12, extensive 4GB RAM RAM, and a triple camera setup. X6’s display is the same 6.5-inch TFT with a notched header for a 5MP selfie camera.
X6 shares the same Helio G25 engine found in X5. Integrated with 4GB RAM, the newcomer features two storage variations, 128 GB and 64 GB. Honor X6’s camera is relatively better composed of 50MP primary, 2MP Macro, and 2MP depth.
Identical to its counterpart, the X6 boasts a 5000mAh cell wired to a 10W charging kit though its input is much better, USB Type-C. Its storage allows SDcard-expandability and its chassis has a 3.5mm audio port. Its 64GB variant costs PKR 40,999; the 128GB variant, on the other hand, bumps the price to PKR 46,999.
