Rumors abound of yet another mid-range handset by Honor. Dubbed the Honor X50, the device will launch shortly after the Honor 90 series hits the shelves in mainland China on May 29th. That places X50 in June. We are yet to unravel its exact launch date; however, a certification listing has divulged all the specific details regarding its hardware.
Unveiling its presence under the model number ALI-AN00 at TENAA, the Honor X50 boasts a sleek profile, measuring 7.98mm and weighing a mere 185 grams. Anchored by a stunning 6.78-inch AMOLED display, the newcomer showcases a captivating 1.5K+ resolution at 2652 x 1200 pixels.
The display comes equipped with a conveniently hidden fingerprint scanner. Drawing inspiration from its predecessor, the Honor X40, speculations suggest that the X50 may also embrace a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a visually seamless experience.
Underneath its stunning exterior, the company has likely graced the device with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. TENAA didn’t reveal specifically the model of the Soc; however, it does mention its boost clock speed at 2.2GHz. Honor X50’s memory hub will comprise three variations, 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB of storage, coupled with 8 GB, 12 GB, and 16 GB of RAM, respectively. The phone has no expandable storage, so users have to rely on the inbuilt memory.
With a battery rated at 5,700mAh, the Honor X50 hints at a typical capacity of approximately 5,800mAh, ensuring ample power to fuel its usage. Operating on the software front, the handset expects the Android 13 operating system with a Magic UI 7 interface. There will be an 8MP shooter for selfies. For general photography, it will bear 108MP + 2MP camera setup.
