Honor X60 and X60 Pro Hit the Stage with Drop-Resistant Designs & Huge Batteries

They’ve been out of the sights for a long stretch, so it was about time Honor made a big move in China. Honor X60 and Honor X60 Pro are out for retail in the homeland and we learn that SGC gave them Gold Label five-star reliability certificates, so there’s no breaking them even if they hit the ground hard.

Honor X60 Pro

It’s the better one of the two, so they gave the X60 Pro a 6.78” AMOLED that is curved at two sides plus we get a pill notch on its header. 3000 nits top brightness is up there with some high-end phones we’ve come across recently, not to overlook that 1.5K 120Hz screen.

There’s a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip at its hull that’s pulling the load here and what plugs into it is a 6600mAh cell that you can refill at 66W inputs. They used 8 GB to 12 GB RAM options for background tasks and the room for files should vary from 128 GB and 512 GB.

Those cameras on the Pro are mostly for looks, yet they made it seem like a quad-cam unit. The others serve no purpose but there’s at least a solo 108 MP sensor on its back and then comes a pill-notch, home to a selfie shooter of 8 MP quality. All of it meshes well together for a base CNY 1499 (~PKR 58,000) price tag.

Honor X60

It may be the lesser phone here, but in the context of other Chinese brands, it will hold every well on its own doing 120Hz on a TFT 6.8” panel. There’s about 850 nits brightness here and they went with a 1080p resolution on punch-hole type notch on the X60.

Then, there’s the torus camera design here. They tried to reinvent its look and setting, but we don’t see any different lens setup than a solo 108 MP rear sensor and 8 MP selfie unit, all seem identical to the Pro. But be advised, X60 can only do 1080p recording, X60 Pro can push it to 4K.

They downsized its battery, so it’s 5800 mAh backup and only 35W charging. It’s a phone built around a Dimensity 7050 Ultra SoC of 6nm fabrication tech so it will have close to mid-level performance. They slapped the base Honor X60 with a CNY 1199 price tag, around PKR 47,000.
