There’s a new Honor phone unveiled globally with the moniker ‘X9c,’ and apparently, it’s the toughest phone they’ve ever built. Engineers at Honor have certainly been making some strides in that area and Honor X9c is fine proof of how far they’ve come.
Drop protection was the central focus for this Honor X9c, and from what we’ve heard, this phone will survive a drop from 2m height. It certainly tops the charts in SGS’s comprehensive reliability tests. Not only is it drop-protected, but they also gave it a scratch-resisting shell.
It will also keep its exterior safe from scratches. In the labs, they tested X9c by rubbing steel wool against its chassis over 3000 times and it still didn’t get any scratches. This phone will even run in temperatures from -30 degrees to 50 degrees.
An IP65M rating on this Honor new 5G mobile means it is safe from water jets at all 360-degree angles, and this rating is often considered even better than IP69 because of all its combined benefits. Also, they managed to cram in a 6600mAh battery inside the X9c with a 66W charging kit.
Then we have a 108MP outsole inside the main lens, it does both EIS/OIS stabilization, and it records at 4K. 3X in-sensor zoom for this lens will get you loss-less magnified shots, and the 16 MP selfie shooter will do 1080p videos from a pill cut out.
The front panel is OLED 6.78” 1.5K resolution in 10-bit colors. It’s also curved, so the screen looks pretty. To save your eyes from fatigue, there’s 3,840 Hz PWM dimming, and it gets pretty bright at 4000 nits to help with the readability under harsh lights. Honor X9c costs about $345 (~PKR 98,000) for the starter 12/256 GB option.
