Honor X9c Smart is a new phone manufactured by the Chinese brand that silently got an official announcement in Malaysia today. ‘Smart’ is part of the label, probably referring to the phone’s 7.9mm thickness. We see Honor’s typical design language for the camera, and the phone itself shares some resemblance with the Honor X60.
This phone is huge, hosting a screen that’s 6.8” tall, and brings a 120Hz TFT FHD+ panel. It is dated technology and the colors or viewing angles may not be as great as an IPS display, but at least it is 1080p in resolution and the panel scores 850 nits of maximum brightness.
Then we see a Dimensity 7050 Ultra (6nm) SoC at the phone’s helm. This chip is two years old at the time, though users still consider it a mid-range chip with a decent GPU to run high-resource games. 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage are also typical for this category.
That camera rig on the back of the Honor's upcoming flagship gives you two camera modes. The main shooter is 108 MP for standard photos, and users can shoot Ultrawide images with a 5 MP second sensor. A 16 MP front camera should help with selfies and video calls.
This phone has a decent battery backup and charging speed. 5800mAh cell and 35W fast charging are standard mid-range features and you can get full-day usage out of this phone. No price has been revealed for the Honor X9c Smart in Malaysia, though we expect a full cost breakdown when the pre-orders begin on December 11.
