Huawei has announced its plans to release the Nova 5 lineup in China on June 21st. The upcoming devices consist of the more affordable Nova 5i and the top-notch Nova 5 variant with premium specs and a slightly expensive price tag.
Preliminary data shows that Huawei Nova 5i is the same phone as the one previously rumored on the European market as Huawei P20 Lite 2019. So the phone would have a 6.4-inch display with a punch hole for the front camera. The latest Nova series will have four cameras at the back consisting of 24MP main + 8MP + 2MP + TOF 3D camera.
The Nova 5i is further equipped with Huawei's very own Kirin 710 processor and Mali G-51 GPU. The handset comes with 6/8GB of RAM and 128 gigs of internal storage. In addition, it also has an external microSD slot that can support a card up to 512GB.
On the other hand, Huawei Nova 5 would include a 6.39-inch screen, a Kirin 980 system processor, and a 4200 mAh battery pack, with a high-speed charge of up to 44 watts. There would be three back cameras: 48-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and 3D ToF depth camera.
As mentioned above, Nova 5i phones are likely to be seen on the European market under the P20 Lite 2019 model. Huawei Nova 5, on the other hand, can enter the market under the same name, but on June 21 the announcement is expected to take place only on the Chinese market and there is no information available on the broader release schedule including Pakistan.
