Infinix Hot 11 Play Goes Official Featuring an Ultra-Powerful Battery and Big Display

The recently-launched Infinix Hot 11 family continues to grow. The Hot 11, 11S have already reached Pakistan and the Hot 11 Play, the latest addition to this budget lineup debuted in Africa over the weekend. It’s the cheapest of the three Hot 11 models, featuring only the barebones specs.

First off, the design is a side-grade from the Hot 10 Play that came out earlier this year. If not for the new paint jobs, you would be hard-pressed to tell the two phones apart. The flashy, textured finishes of the Infinix Hot 11 Play come in mint, graphite, golden, and blue shades. Infinix has also embedded a capacitive fingerprint scanner next to the rear camera rectangle.

Flip the phone over to reveal its oversized 6.82” screen. A notched IPS LCD fills a tall 20.5:9 aspect ratio and a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio. The Hot 11 Play peaks at an unremarkable 720P resolution.

Big displays and batteries are hallmarks of an entry-level phone in the Infinix price list. And the Hot 11 Play delivers on both. The 6000 mAh battery inside the phone (when combined with the low-powered display and chip) promises 75 days on standby and 16 hours of uninterrupted gaming out of a single charge. No fast charging support is offered here, and the USB interface is the obsolete micro-USB kind.

The engine at the heart of Infinix Hot 11 Play is the MediaTek Helio G35. It’s an entry-level 4G chip, only fast enough for light gaming.

The XOS UI and Android 11 power the phone. You get 4GB of memory and 128GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 512GB — a potent combination. The pricing is yet to be announced.
