Infinix Hot 12i belongs to the latest line of budget-friendly phones from Infinix. It's an entry-level model that was quietly announced yesterday. Featuring non-competitive specs at an affordable price, the "i" Variant of the Infinix Hot 12 made its debut in Africa. And it should land in Asian markets soon.
The screen on the Infinix Hot 12i is a 6.82" IPS LCD — dimensions typical of Infinix smartphones. A notch and a hefty chin flank it. The resolution peaks at an underwhelming 720P while the brightness hits 480 nits (which falls on the lower end.)
Turn the Hot 12i over to find a chamfered and textured casing. You can choose from Racing Black, Daylight Green, Horizon Blue, and Champagne Gold. An instant fingerprint scanner is mounted to the camera plate, containing a 13MP 'triple-lens' camera. The primary shooter has an aperture of f/1.8, but the other two lenses are only decorative.
A massive 5000 mAh battery powers everything. Infinix promises all-day battery life, or 150 hours of music, 13 hours of gaming, and 34 hours of talk time out of a single charge. Software features like Power Marathon can be customized to extend power savings further. Note, however, that the USB interface on the latest Infinix mobile is the ancient micro-USB.
The chip isn't unspecified. But sources report it's the MediaTek Helio A22, a low-end processor already years old. It's hooked up to 4GB of virtually extended memory and 64GB of internal storage.
2GB/64GB and 3GB/64GB versions are also offered. The Android 11 x XOS UI runs on the Infinix Hot 12i from the first boot. It starts from NGN 61,800 (~ Rs. 27,100.)
