Price hikes continue in Pakistan, and it’s the turn for Infinix’s Hot 40 lineup. From here on out, their Infinix Hot 40 (8/256GB) will cost Rs 38,000 instead of the original Rs 34,000 price tag. And the same thing is happening with the Infinix Hot 40 Pro (8/256GB). They jacked up its price from Rs 43,000 to 45,000, expensive by almost 2000 rupees.
Infinix Hot 40
The price hike could’ve been worse, but the duo still holds value at these new figures. Hot 40 still has the platform’s best 1080p FHD+ screen. 6.78” is the size of that panel with a high 90Hz refresh rate. And best of all, it peaks at 500nits brightness.
It’s a December 2023 release, so you get Android 13 XOS 13.5 out of the box (not the current Android 14). Helio G88 powers it and uses 8 GB of RAM to pull the load of multiple tasks. There’s (UFS 2.2) 256 GB storage here. Then, you’ll find a stereo speaker setup and a side fingerprint reader.
Those camera lenses, skirted with a massive rectangular bump, have a 50 MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. That third lens is auxiliary. Flip over the phone, and you’ll find a selfie camera up front snapping 32 MP shots. And they’ve rigged this model with a 5000mAh x 33W configuration.
Infinix Hot 40 Pro
That Pro model is a notch above. Its 6.78” screen size, 1080p resolution, and 500 nits brightness may be the same as its sibling, but this one can do up to 120Hz refresh rate. It’s not as big a difference. Still, it will be noticeable while scrolling through your social apps and web pages.
To push the pixels at that speed, Hot 40 Pro does include a better SoC. Helio G99 is the one running the OS here. It has a faster integrated Mali G57 GPU, and clock speeds are better at 2.2GHz. But nothing’s changed in the storage and RAM section at 8/256 GB.
Speakers on the top and bottom are loud. And yes, there’s a side fingerprint reader. We have a three-way lens setup out back. There’s a 108 MP commanding unit here. The second and third lenses you see are 2 MP macro and 0.08 MP auxiliary. 32 MP selfie is the same on both sibs and so is the 5000mAh x 33W power source.
