Infinix Hot 50i Goes Official with 48MP Camera, Helio G81, and 120Hz Display

There’s much left to see from Infinix’s Hot 50 roster yet. Back in September, they began with the intro of Hot 50 4G and Hot 50 5G, and ever since there’s been reports of an Infinix Hot 50i in the R&D. They finally debuted the ‘i’ model today, and we have to say; it seems to mesh well with the others, at least as a cheaper alternative.

Hot 50i will be at the lowest rank, and seeing that the Hot 50 family itself belongs in the entry-level range, this new handset does pretty well on the performance side. They built Hot 50i around a Helio G81, and it’s the best SoC you could ask for in this range.

That panel on the front is decent enough at a size of 6.7,” but remember that it’s pretty ordinary with only 720p resolution. At least, they used a 120Hz panel here to save its grace and put a hope-punch crop in the screen to lower the intrusion for the 8 MP selfie shooter.

All you have on the back side of the Infinix budget new model is a 48 MP main camera and probably a second auxiliary unit for assistance with your photos. It’s not much, but it’s good enough for 1080p 30FPS videos. It’s not only pretty, but this design is also sturdy enough to score an IP54 rating.

There’s at least 4 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM in the base config, but it isn’t the only one, because some beefier options also exist, maybe with 6GB RAM and as high as 256GB storage. What powers all this gear is a 5000mAh cell that you can plug in with an 18W charger. Hot 50i’s price is only $110 (~PKR 30,000) for the starter base option.
