Hot 50i has been available in Pakistan for a few months, although its price has been a bit steep. But we do have some good news for the hesitant buyers today. Infinix has decided to slash the phone’s price tag, and now its 6/128GB variant is Rs 2,000 cheaper in Pakistan.
The Infinix Hot 50i originally demanded Rs 33,000, which is not a great price tag for its sub-entry-level features. Fortunately, the new discount changes things. Now, the Hot 50i (6/128GB) will only cost Rs 30,999, which is a much better value proposition for this handset.
It fronts you with a 6.7” IPS panel that can do 120Hz refresh speed and even 500 nits top brightness when you need to see it in harsh lights. It’s a punch-hole display and not that intrusive, but the only downside is its 720p resolution, though you won’t notice it in your day-to-day.
We see a splash and dustproof build here, and Infinix tested the Hot 50i with an IP54 rating. You can’t get better durability, at least at this price. The company even advertised that this phone could sustain its smoothness for 48 months. The new Infinix budget mobile’s XOS and Helio G81 chip might have something to do with it.
Helio G81 is a small 2.0 GHz engine that can keep up with most of the tasks you throw at it. You even have a good enough integrated graphic unit for light gaming. Granted, it only uses 6 GB RAM, but that’s where the expandable 6 GB virtual RAM comes in.
128 GB storage should be plenty, but you always have the option to insert an SD card to make room for more files. It is a yesteryear phone, so Android 14 OS comes out of the box, not Android 15. This software does have Infinix AI and some quality-of-life features, like the NFC, boosted Speakers, or the Dynamic bar.
Its 48 MP main lens works great on the backside for quick shots and clips. The second lens is auxiliary. Infinix didn’t say what purpose it serves. The third one is a front 8 MP selfie shooter. Thw fingerprint reader on the budget 'i' variant of the Infinix Hot 50 lies on top of the power button. Then, we have a 5000mAh backup and 18W charging support for Hot 50i. We can appreciate these features much better at the new Rs 30,999 price tag.
