The slew of new Infinix releases doesn’t seem to be concluding, following the release of the Infinix Hot 12 series in Pakistan, The manufacturer has now quietly unveiled the Note 12i in Kenya. The new handset shares its design language with the recently announced Note 12 sibling but with lower specs and a cheaper price.

Infinix Note 12i looks quite similar to the Note 12 and you might not be able to tell the two siblings apart at first glance. An almost identical water-drop notch, the same style camera layout, and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The display, however, is an IPS LCD screen instead of AMOLED, sports HD+ resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate.

Moving on to the Note 12i internals, You get a MediaTek Helio G85 platform, paired with 4GB of RAM (3GB of Virtual RAM) and 128GB of native storage — expandable with a microSD card. The hardware is hooked up to a 5,000 mAh battery (just like the Note 12), with 18W fast charging. It runs on an Android-12-based XOS 10.6.

The Triple-camera that sits on the back panel of the latest Infinix Note mobile not only looks the same but has got exactly the same sensors. A primary 50MP main lens is combined with a 2MP depth camera and an AI sensor escorted by a quad-LED flash. The main camera of 12i has a large f/1.6 aperture, but the depth camera is  f/2.4 which is fairly underwhelming. For capturing selfies, the punch-hole houses an 8MP shooter with a dual-LED flash.

The Infinix Note 12i does stand out with its dual stereo speakers and DTS Audio support. And despite having a fingerprint sensor the handset also features the Face Id. You can pick from Force Black, Sunset Golden, and Jewel Blue colors. The handsets cost carries a price tag of KES 20,500 in Kenya which converts to some 33,600 PKR.
