Infinix Note 50 & 50 Pro Debut with 144Hz AMOLED, 50MP Cameras & Infinix AI

Infinix finally revealed two long-awaited devices from its Note lineup. Note 50 Pro and Note 50 have landed in Indonesia, and are surely making their way to other markets as we speak. These two LTE-based models come with bigger batteries and numerous upgrades over the previous generation. Here's the inside scoop.

Infinix Note 50 Pro and Vanilla 50 share the same display, chipset, and primary camera. The differences are minute, like the selfie sensor and the charging speed, but both units are mostly on par with each other. They have a flat 6.78” AMOLED screen on the front with a 144Hz refresh rate, which packs a Full HD+ resolution at 1080p.

The bezels are refined and uniform, so the phone looks premium. There’s an In-display fingerprint ID as usual. Both 50 and 50 Pro have 1300 nits max brightness. So far, only the 4G variants have been launched, and they are built around Helio G100 chipsets.

The Infinix price catalog highlights both newcomers with 5200mAh batteries, but the Note 50 Pro takes the lead here with 90W fast wired charging. The vanilla Note 50 only scored a 45W input, which is still plenty for a mid-range device. At least they both have MagCharge and wireless charging, so that’s something.

We’ve seen the flat design before, but the Note 50 series does something new with the camera. It’s an octagonal island with three sensors, a flash LED, and what seems to be a Halo ring with multiple accents. Both models have that same 50 MP main shooter with OIS, but the Pro gets a secondary 8 MP ultrawide unit for assistance.

The vanilla Note 50 only has a 2 MP macro as the second lens. The selfie sensor for the vanilla variant is downgraded to 13MP. But the Note 50 Pro enjoys a bigger and far sharper 32 MP unit for selfies and videos. The difference will be noticeable.

Infinix secured TUV IP64 ratings for both models here. They both boot to an Android 15 OS with XOS 15 skins and Infinix AI suite. They even have NFC chips built in. Infinix Note 50 and Note 50 Pro cost $165 (~PKR 46,000) and $182 (~PKR 51,000), respectively, and the prices seem quite justifiable for their 8/256GB configurations, at least for the Indonesian market. Of course, the prices will vary depending on the region, so keep an eye out for future updates to stay in the loop.
