The Infinix Note 50 Pro+ global launch event is about to start. Set for March 20th (7.pm PST), it will be an online debut for Infinix’s latest AI Suite and hopefully the Note 50, Note 50 Pro, and Note 50 Pro+ devices (the specifics remain unclear for the time being).
Infinix Pakistan also posted on its social media, inviting fans to watch the online Infinix AI launch event on March 20th live on their Facebook page. Whether this event will mark the Note 50 series launch in Pakistan is still a complete mystery, but the lineup should eventually arrive in the country, given the company’s previous track record. At any rate, you should know what these new devices have to offer.
Infinix Note 50 Pro
Infinix Note 50 Pro and Note 50 already debuted earlier this month, so we are quite familiar with what they pack inside. These models share the same display, chipset, and primary camera. There are slight differences, like the selfie resolution or the charging speed, but both units are mostly on par with each other.
Note 50 Pro has a flat 6.78” AMOLED screen on the front with a 144Hz refresh rate, which also packs a Full HD+ or 1080p resolution. The bezels are refined and uniform, so the phone looks premium. There’s an In-display fingerprint ID as usual and 1300 nits max brightness.
So far, only the 4G variants have been launched, and they are built around Helio G100 chipsets. Even though both handsets have the same 5200mAh batteries, the Note 50 Pro has a solid lead with 90W fast charging. Secondary MagCharge and wireless charging are available on both devices for good measure.
Note 50 Pro’s camera setup is slightly better since it has an additional 8 MP ultrawide along with its primary 50 MP shooter. This handset also uses a bigger and sharper 32 MP sensor for selfies. Infinix Note 50 Pro is IP64 rated, water and dust-tight with a bold octagonal camera design.
Infinix Note 50
There’s no difference in the display quality since the Note 50 also has the same 1080p 6.78” AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1300 nits peak brightness. The company even provides the same Helio G100 chipset here, so there will be no performance gap across these models.
Even though the cameras look the same on both devices, we only have a 2 MP macro unit on the phone’s back, packed with a standard 50 MP OIS primary shooter. A 13 MP selfie is not the worst for a front portrait, but it isn’t the best either. At least the Active Halo light was given to both handsets.
Note 50 uses a 45W fast charging as a backup for the phone’s 5200mAh battery. The charging speeds will be worlds apart on both handsets. IP64 rating also protects the Note 50 from dust and minor water splashes. Both Note 50 models boot up to an Android 15 OS with XOS 15 skins, baked in with some of Infinix’s best AI features.
Infinix Note 50 Pro Plus
This device will be the star of the show on March 20th, but its details have been elusive until today. GSMarena gave away some of the Note 50 Pro+'s live images and key specs. This should give you some idea of what the third and the most premium member of the family can do.
The Pro Plus gives you a full Metal Body design and the same octagonal camera as the rest of its siblings. From what we learned from the leak, this model may have gone through a similar manufacturing process, which is used for new energy vehicles (NEVs) as an initiative for eco-friendly, lighter, and durable handsets.
The Note 50 Pro+ is also seen in the images with an upper Mic, an IR Blaster, and a secondary speaker griller at the top. We can also see on the camera tray a telephoto lens. GSMArena tells us that it is a 50MP OIS periscope telephoto with 100x zoom (Optical + Digital). We won’t know the phone’s exact specifications until the launch event, but the phone’s expected price under $500 (~PKR 140,000) means it’s positioned as a premium mid-ranger.
