Rumors abound of yet another Infinix phone vying for recognition in the Pakistani smartphone market. According to insiders, the device is poised to launch here soon, though specific details regarding its launch date and pricing remain elusive. The gadget at hand is dubbed the Infinix Smart 7, one of the entry-level contenders from the company.
The Smart 7 debuted in February with a freshly crafted design encompassing a large camera module, a 6.6-inch HD+ display, and a trendy slab-like build. The focus on enhancing user-friendliness and ensuring customer affordability makes the phone ever more desirable. Amidst the prevailing cost surge across the country, the device holds immense potential for success.
Undoubtedly, one of the most buzzed-about attributes of the phone is its distinctive wave-patterned back panel, which boasts a Silver ion spray coating endowing it with a luxurious texture while giving it a remarkable antibacterial rate of 99 percent.
The Smart 7’s dual-camera module also impresses with an alpha 13MP camera and an AI assistant. The Infinix Smart new model uses a 5MP, flash-illuminated sensor under the drop-notch cutout for selfies.
However impressive the design is, the phone still needs some catching up in performance. Mounted inside the phone is an old Unisoc SC9863A chip, and alongside, it has a memory hub with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Fortunately, the phone has virtual memory support to expand RAM by 3GB, compensating for underwhelming performance.
Under the shell lies an immense 6000mAh cell capable of recharging at 10W. The software running on Infinix Smart 7 is Google’s year-old Android 12. And its essential components include dual SIM support, a microSD card slot, a USB-Type C port, dual 4G VoLTE, and Bluetooth 4.2. The phone’s initial cost was ~88 USD (~PKR 25,000 converted).
