Prepping for its next venture into the budget smartphone arena, Infinix intends to break out a new Smart series device, the Infinix Smart 8. The handset has been making waves with its certifications and appearances on benchmarking platforms, hinting at an imminent release.
The Infinix Smart 8 is the long-awaited successor to the Smart 7, which debuted earlier this year in February. With TDRA, FCC, and Geekbench certifications already under its belt, it's clear that Infinix is gearing up for something high value.
A recent sighting on the Google Play Console certification has given us a sneak peek into what the Smart 8 offers. The device, bearing the model number X6525, showcases a sleek design with a punch-hole cutout display. Typical to routine, the power and volume buttons reside on the right side.
The Smart 8 display boasts a 720x1612 pixel resolution, promising clear and vibrant visuals with a screen density of 320 dpi. Powering this new Infinix Smart Mobile is a Spreadtrum Unisoc T606 processor featuring a combination of two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, each clocked at 1.6GHz.
With 3GB of RAM onboard, it's poised to deliver a smooth and responsive user experience. The Smart 8 will come out of the box with the latest Android 13 operating system, boasting all the latest software features.
While the Google Play Console listing leaves us wanting more, previous information from the FCC indicates a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging and 4G connectivity. With a heavy footing on benchmark tests, the Infinix Smart 8 seems ready to take the company's entry-level roster to new heights.
