Infinix Zero 40 4G Earns TUV Rheinland Certification and Makes a Cameo on GPC

Infinix Zero 40 could change the game. It’s been making good progress, and they’ve scored FCC’s clearance for its 5G version. It popped up on Geekbench, so we know what hardware it’s running. TUV Rheinland certified its 4G alter ego moments ago, and so did the Google Play Console. A lot has unfolded in the last few weeks.

Google Play Console listed Infinix Zero 40 4G with code ‘X6860.’ There’s a MediaTek MT6789 engine inside it (as to what the listing shows). Two of its cores are cortex A76, and the others are A55. It could be a Helio G99 with a Mali G57 integrated GPU.

The variant Google mentioned here is 8 GB. Android 14 XOS 14 is the OS planned for Zero 40 4G and 5G. It’s hard to tell the design by looking at that placeholder image. But we did notice a curved glass panel on the front. Like the Zero 30 4G, there may be a curved 1080p AMOLED for Zero 40.

TUV Rheinland foreshadows battery size and storage capacity. Their certificate has details on the Zero 40 4G’s 4,900 mAh cell. People can also expect as high as 512 GB of storage on the Infinix future's 4G handset. Some of these specs will make a cameo on its 5G counterpart.

Speaking of which, their Infinix Zero 40 5G left clues on FCC and Geekbench. There’s a Dimensity 8200 chip here. And up to 12 GB RAM for its higher configuration. FCC ratted out its circular camera design and some info about its 45W charging adapter.
