Infinix only launched the Zero 40 4G model in Pakistan back in September, and while it is a perfectly well-rounded device on its own, we do miss out on a lot compared to the 5G variant. Lucky for you, the Infinix Zero 40 5G will also be retailing in Pakistan from today onwards, in case you want a competitive edge.

Zero 40 5G is built around a 6.78” whopping 144Hz AMOLED panel. It’s also curved, so it scratches that itch for a premium feel without running your account dry. Only the 5G variant gives you the HDR-rated screen, though it is the same 1080p FHD+ panel with 1300 nits brightness.

The other model with LTE connectivity only has a Helio G100, which is ok for light gaming and mid-range performance, but if it’s a flagship experience you want, you will need the Infinix Zero 40 5G with Dimensity 8200 Ultimate 3.1GHz octa-core chip. It runs Android 14 XOS 14 UI out of the box and the variant launched in Pakistan has 12 GB RAM as well.

The SoC also gives a little boost to the phone’s video recording, even though the hardware is the same. The Infinix new premium model will record at 4K 60 FPS on both the front and the back sides. A (108 MP f/1.8) is the main sensor here, and it’s quite stable with OIS support in video mode.

Infinix also gave it two 50MP cameras, which is the first time in the Zero series: one is a front selfie shooter, and the other is a 120-FOV ultrawide on the back side, but that’s not all. The final one is a 2 MP bokeh sensor so you can expect some great portrait shooting as well.

The company also worked on its update and support delivery behind the scenes, which is how it promised 2-year OS and 3-year patch support for the Zero 40 5G. For the price bump, Infinix could have at least improved the charging and battery capacity, which is the same 45W and 5000mAh as Zero 40 4G. In all fairness though, it does have wireless 20W charging to justify the cost.

Like all premium phones, this one also mounted an optical fingerprint ID under the screen and used a dual speaker setup. Infinix Zero 40 5G with 12/256GB memory trim retails at Rs 114,999 in Pakistan.
