Google Play Console certifies a new phone made by Infinix. It’s very close to launch, goes without saying. But we were caught off guard seeing the Infinix Note 40 5G certified with Dimensity 8200. They are stepping up their game with budget handsets, no doubt.
As for what the listing unveiled, there’s plenty of information GPC made official. Infinix Zero 40 5G goes by the code ‘X6861.’ Take a closer look to see ‘MediaTek MT6896Z/CZA’ in the System-on-chip section. That’s the engine we saw on the Infinix GT 20 Pro.
GT 20 Pro’s Dimensity 8200 Ultimate SoC is a 4nm highly efficient performer. The base 2.0GHz clock alone puts it over many budget CPUs. The peak clock speed for this engine is 3100 MHz — enough power for over 911751 points on Antutu. It’s the best-ever upgrade for the Infinix Zero lineup.
This leaked file from the GPC mentions a 1080p FHD+ screen on the new 5G Infinix mobile. 12GB RAM option is also a possibility. And there’s an Android 14 operating system in control of the UI. Other than that, TUV’s certification helped confirm the battery size. Zero 40 5G is 4,900mAh.
All these stats mirror the GPC listing for the Infinix Zero 40 4G, save the RAM and SoC. Onboard this 4G variant is a Helio G99. And there’s 8 GB RAM to kick things off. Android 14 runs the 4G variants (same as the 5G Zero 40). FCC certification earlier was also helpful, as it confirmed up to 512 GB storage for the Zero 40 4G.
