With their recent Infinix Zero X series, the once-budget-exclusive brand ventured into the premium territory. And evidently, Infinix wants to keep competing with dominant brands in the industry because they’re working on their first 5G phone — the Zero 5G. And we have the early previews and features to report.
Infinix Zero 5G first appeared in a Google Play Console certification. It contained the front view and a few system specs of the phone. But a more comprehensive leak has followed the Google certification. Courtesy of the YouTube page TechArena24, we’re looking at a design heavily inspired by Oppo’s Find X3 Pro.
The squarish camera bump juts out, seemingly carved out from the casing to give it a one-piece impression. Three lenses and two LED flashes are stacked on this camera island.
Reportedly, it’s a cluster of 48MP wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto zoom cameras. The new Infinix 5G mobile is seen in a jade green here. But the upcoming Zeo 5G will also come in black, blue, and red.
Turn the Zero 5G over to meet its display — a slightly curved panel with a hole punch in the middle. The screen is a 6.7” SuperAMOLED, peaking at 1080P resolution and a responsive 120Hz refresh rate. The O-hole cutout houses a 16MP selfie camera.
MediaTek Dimensity 900 (a 6nm 5G chip that came out in the Summer this year) is at the heart of Infinix Zero 5G. Infinix paired it with 8GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage, presumably microSD expandable. A 5000 mAh battery and 33W super-charging power everything. And the fingerprint scanner is merged with the power button. Rumor has it that Infinix Zero 5G is lined up for launch in January next year.
