By the year’s end, we’d all be saying, ‘Infinix does Foldable phones too.’ Competition in the folding space is good. If more companies join in the innovation, it will become a norm. We were wondering when Infinix will land its brawler in that arena. For that, Infinix Zero Flip has signed up on the FCC, putting all our doubts to rest.
FCC cleared this model with the code ‘X6962.’ Details were far, and few. But at least they verified the name of this device. There’s a design schematic pinned inside the doc. It looks like your typical folding slab. But there’s one insanely huge cover screen slapped on the upper half. We’ve never seen something like that in other foldable.
And those cameras sprout straight from that cover screen. Down under those shooters is a pill LED flash. If you have seen or heard about Tecno Phantom V2 Flip, you will see both of these as clones. We couldn’t find if they also have the same internals. That much is still behind the curtains.
Infinix new flip mobile had some more details to spill on FCC. We found that it has, at the minimum, 8 GB RAM. 512 GB is the maximum storage for all. It’s acceptable, but Infinix can do better. It’s almost obvious that Zero Flip is a flagship. You can’t do flagship without 5G. We can foreshadow a 5G-enables SoC here without hesitation.
There wasn’t much in the way of battery stats. But we did spot a definite number about charging speed. It’s a 70W fast recharge backup for the Zero Flip. FCC wasn’t the only one to clear it. EEC also gave it a green light. You will probably see this model in the market in a month or two.
