The iPhone is typically unveiled in early September. But owing to Covid-19 restrictions and delays, Apple had to push off their iPhone 12 launch to October last year. But for the upcoming iPhone 13 series, Apple is going back to the original release calendar. A credible source reports that the iPhone 13 is set to debut in September.

The leak comes from the popular Apple-focused blog, MacRumors. Folks over there note September 7, September 14, and September 21 as the possible launch dates for the iPhone 13. But the event is likely slated for the third week of September, as per the analyst Daniel Ives. September 21 is a Tuesday, and Apple has traditionally stuck to Tuesday launches.

The analyst further predicts that the iPhone 13 will make up to 45% of all iPhones manufactured in the third quarter of 2021. That comes out to anywhere between 130 million and 150 million units produced.

Also, the iPhone 13 series will be the first to come in an overkill one Terabyte storage option — that’s double the current top-end 512GB edition!

As expected, Apple also has quite a few camera upgrades in store for their Pro customers. Bloomberg reports that the iPhone 13 will be the first to feature a dedicated ‘Portrait Mode’ to simulate a shallow depth of field for videos. LiDAR support is added across the board. ProRes video format is enabled for professional video editors who need the RAW equivalent of video. Naturally, these 4K file sizes can get huge, so the 1TB of storage should come in handy.
