iPhone 14 Pro Max Featured in Reliable Press Images, the Notch and Camera Bump are Finally Gone

We’re still a few days away from the official launch of the iPhone 13 series, but a reliable Apple leaker has already published press images for the next-gen iPhone 14 — a whole year before its release. Here is the scoop.

Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech, partnered with the concept artist Ian Zelbo, to create the 3D product mockups of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The leaker (who has a long and proven record for Apple-related leaks) notes that this special report has been in the works for weeks now, and its reveal, right before the iPhone 13 drops, is by design.

The iPhone 14 presents the first radical design overhaul since the iPhone X. The unflattering camera bump is gone. The shell is much thicker here, so the three lenses live on the backplate. It’s semi-glossy, painted in turquoise, gold, black, and white. But Mr. Prosser warns that it is too early to finalize the color palette (save for the gold color that is the exception.)

Like the iPhone 12, the iPhone 14 also reuses the design elements of the iPhone 4. The new iPhone for 2022 is a blast from the past as Apple markets the phone. The frame is flat, sharp, and made of titanium. Plus, the volume rockers are round too. The port is still of the lightning variety, unfortunately.

Apple is finally lopping off the unsightly notch too. The FaceID hardware is hidden underneath the display in the iPhone 14. But the front camera is housed inside a centered hole-punch — essentially following every flagship phone this year.

Front Page Tech also claims that this design will make it to the final iPhone 14 Pro Max production unit, albeit a few tweaks in dimensions are possible.
