Not too long ago, itel A50 was launched overseas. And they’ve finally decided to roll it out in Pakistan shortly. It’s from a sub-entry-level platform and affordable. All its specs are oriented towards light tasks. Like all others in the segment, this is also a sub-$100 phone.
Those specs reflect its price. There’s a notched 6.6” IPS panel on top. And surprisingly, they included a Dynamic Bar here to decorate the notch. Maybe add some functionality to it in the process. Its resolution is 720p HD+ at 60Hz all standard stuff. And they advertise 480 nits peak brightness with it.
Type C charging at 10W helps refill the device. And they’ve used a 5000mAh battery to power the itel A50. Performance-wise, we have a Unisoc T603 engine using eight cores. 4 GB or 2GB of physical RAM tags along to do the heavy lifting.
There’s not much in the way of performance, but it makes do with its limited resources. The itel 4G latest mobile uses Android 14 Go out of the box. So, it’s less intensive on RAM, processor, and storage. And for added ease, it even allows up to 4 GB of virtual RAM.
Cameras here are your standard affair, nothing fancy. An 8 MP sensor lives on the back with an auxiliary unit. And then we have a 5 MP selfie unit up front. There’s a fingerprint reader on the side, and it even has a Face Unlock feature. Itel A50’s official price in the Philippines is ₱4,099 (~PKR 19,500). Its cost in Pakistan will be in the ballpark.
