Itel A50 and A70’s claim to fame is super affordable price tags. These phones came to Pakistan as cheap sub-entry-level devices and both are about to become much more enticing with itel’s recently announced price cuts. Here’s the scoop.
Itel A50’s 2/64GB and 4/64GB variants demanded Rs 18,000 and Rs 20,000 till this day, but now their price tags have been cut to Rs 17,000 and Rs 19,000. Itel A70 with its 4/128GB trim was retailing at Rs 24,000 but after today, this phone will only cost Rs 21,000.
Aside from the cameras, out-of-the-box Android versions, and RAM/storage variations, itel A70 and A50 are mostly identical. The A70 has a rear 13MP shooter and a 0.08MP assistive lens for snapping quick images, and the front camera uses an 8 MP sensor. This one also has a dual-LED flash on the back.
itel latest 4G model costs way less and uses a small 8 MP rear lens and a 5 MP selfie shooter to grab your photos. You should also note that, since the A70 launched in early 2024, it boots to an Android 13 Go OS, while the newer A50 brings Android 14 Go out of the box.
Both phones have 5000mAh batteries and 10W charging kits inside for backup. A70 and A50 can virtually expand their memories and allow SD cards for extra storage. We even have the same screen size and resolution on each phone: 6.6” 720p HD+, standard 60Hz panels, with ~500 nits brightness.
The duo unlocks the screen using fingerprint readers on the side, mounted on their power buttons. Both itel A70 and A50 phones use the same Unisoc T603 engine to run their operating systems. All these features are exceptional, considering itel A50 and A70’s latest discounted prices, and should affect the consumer sentiment for these phones.
