The Itel A80 is up for sale in Pakistan now, and it might be worth looking into if you are on the hunt for a budget daily driver. As always, this phone, being from the itel A series is bearing sub-entry-level hardware, but for the first time, its screen has a punch hole, meeting the modern criteria.

Because the notch is replaced with a punch hole, Itel A80’s 6.7” display is far less intrusive and the upgrade doesn’t stop here. Itel A70 had a 60Hz panel, but now, almost for the same price, the A80 will give you a 120Hz refresh rate and fluid animations.

The screen is still IPS liquid crystal with HD+ resolution at 720p, and 500 nits peak brightness. This phone will grant you access to an Android 14 OS out of the box wrapped in an itel OS 14 skin. The Unsoc T603 chipset used in this phone is not the most powerful, but you can bet on it being energy efficient.

This octa-core chip plugs into a 5000mAh battery, which you can charge at 10W if it runs out. Also, the Itel budget new mobile uses a Type C plug. Cameras are also upgraded, or at least the rear one did. It’s now bumped from 13 MP to 50 MP, one auxiliary lens, and the selfie shooter keeps the same 8 MP resolution.

Itel A80 has all the other features a normal entry-level phone would have: SD card support, 3 GB RAM in the Pakistani variant, virtually added by an extra 5 GB memory. But, more importantly, the base built-in storage is 128 GB, which is a huge deal in the budget circle. This phone even has a side-facing fingerprint ID. Itel A80 (3+5/128GB) retail cost is only Rs 22,500.
