After its split from Huawei, Honor went through a prolonged hiatus. But with their latest Honor 50 series out, it’s back on track. The releases are also picking up the pace. This now independent brand has a mid-range series lined up for launch very soon. The Honor X20 SE, from the upcoming Honor X20 line, was featured in hands-on photos.
The leak comes from the reliable source, Digital Station Station, based on the Chinese blogging platform Weibo. It shows the Honor X20 SE in three different colorways. The phone was photographed in an Honor store, so the formal launch is right around the corner. We also have the specifications to report.
Honor X20 SE sports one of the more balanced and reserved designs from the brand. We’re looking at soft edges and corners. The shell has a flat frame that is beveled smooth all around. On the back, the camera island is also rounded.
Three lenses are stacked side-by-side on top of it. A beautiful addition to the Honor price list, think of Oppo’s latest Reno designs, but available in duo-tone green, flesh, and frost blue colors.
Flip the phone over to find a screen with a hole punched straight through its center and slim bezels surrounding it. The Honor X50 SE has a 6.6” IPS LCD that operates on a fluid 90Hz refresh rate. We expect a maximum resolution of 1080P.
Coming back to the specifications, the X20 SE has the Dimensity 700 at its heart. It’s an entry-level 5G chip from MediaTek, powered by 22.5W quick-charging technology. The triple-camera is led by a 64MP lens. We’ll keep you posted as the story develops.
