Nokia G-series is the new mid-range line of smartphones from HMD Global. And it is soon being expanded with a new model — the Nokia G50 5G. The new Nokia G10 sibling has been featured in a report that leaked its product specifications and press images.

Courtesy of the European publication WinFuture.de, we learn that the Nokia G50 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 at its heart. It’s a budget 5G chip built on an 8nm fabrication process. It’s powered by a 4,850 mAh battery. The G-series is advertised to last two days on a single charge. But when you’re running low, the G50 can’t quick-charge.

The press renders showcase the Nokia G50 5G in two shades — sand and blue. HMD Global once again recycled the design it has been using for the past few generations. We’re looking at a donut-style camera island sitting on a glossy shell. Three lenses and an LED flash are arranged inside this housing.

The frame is round, and a side-facing thumbprint reader is etched into it (the sensor pulls double duty as the power button.) Flip the Nokia G50 5G over to find a compact-ish screen. A prominent notch and a hefty chin flank the display.

Expected to join the Nokia price list soon, The handset has a 6.38” IPS LCD that delivers a 720P resolution (presumably) at a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The rear camera system features a 48MP wide lens and two low-res cameras. We don’t have a launch timeline, but a leaked retail listing for the Nokia G50 already uncovered its pricing.

The Nokia G50 5G will become the most affordable 5G phone in Nokia’s catalog. It starts from €230 (~ Rs. 45,300.) And Nokia could be throwing in free TWS earbuds with every purchase.
