New Realme 9i Leak Shows Specs, Previews, and Features in Product Page Elements

We’re only two days away from the official launch of the first Realme 9 phone, the Realme 9i. The 9i has been featured in piecemeal leaks for weeks. But a major last-minute leak on Twitter has uncovered everything about the phone. It includes official marketing images, video trailers, and the specification list.

Courtesy of the self-described Twitter technophile @Sudhanshu1414, we learn that the Realme 9i rocks a more responsive display than its predecessor. The 6.6” 1080P LCD now refreshes at 90Hz and samples for touches at 180 Hz. The hole-punch in the corner and trimmed bezels contribute to a 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. Realme uses the cutout to embed a 16MP front camera.

The casing includes a textured back, a curved frame with a thumbprint reader and comes in Prism and Black options. The texture is an 8-layer superimposed coating to create refracted light visuals.

Three lenses are housed inside a raised camera platform on the casing. It’s a cluster of 50MP wide-angle, 2MP portrait, and 2MP macro lenses. The latest addition to the realme price list has new dual stereo speakers, supported by Hi-Res Audio, which deliver surround sound.

The battery inside the Realme 9i is a 5000 mAh cell, promised to last 995 hours on standby, 20.7 hours of WhatsApp texting, and 116.3 hours of music streaming. Realme has also bumped up the charging speeds to 33W. As a result, the Realme 9i charges 36% faster than the 8i.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 and Realme UI 2 power everything (even though realme UI 3.0 is out.) The Snapdragon 680 is a new chip built on a small 6nm process node that reduces power consumption. Lastly, you get 8GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage, presumably expandable.
