Nokia G300 is the newest addition to HMD Global’s catalog of cheap 5G phones. Right now, it’s available in the U.S. through certain mobile carriers, but the G300 should reach more markets soon. The phone offers long battery life, a durable body, and a bloat-free Android.
Like other recent budget 5G phones from Nokia, the G300 5G also runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chip. The mobile platform is built on an efficient 8nm process, that combined with the 4470 mAh battery, stretches a single charge into two-day battery life. When you run out, the phone is quickly charged over 18W.
Pure Android 11 OS powers the Nokia G300 without being bogged down with a custom skin. Nokia G300 5G gets 4GB of memory and only 64GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card. Cardless, cashless payments are enabled with the NFC feature.
The plastic body of Nokia's new model phone 2021 has a textured shell featuring a raised chrome ring and three lenses inside. Embedded in the frame is a fingerprint scanner that doubles as the power key. Also, the build includes a 3.5mm audio jack. Nokia G300 comes in a single Meteor Grey edition.
The triple camera is made of 16MP f/1.8 wide, 5MP ultra-wide, and 2MP portrait cameras. The camera system can shoot in 1080P at 60 FPS, stabilized with software magic.
Out on the front, we find a notch with an 8MP camera. It bleeds into a 6.52” IPS LCD, flanked by oversized bezels. The panel delivers a 720P resolution and fills a 20:9 aspect ratio. Nokia G300 5G starts at $199 (~ Rs. 34,000.)
