The upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 5G won’t be the only budget 5G phone from the brand this year. Their ever-growing product catalog will soon include the all-new OnePlus Nord N200. It’s set to become the cheapest 5G OnePlus phone, according to official sources. The N200 5G is yet to be officially unveiled, but we were given an exclusive preview.
Courtesy of PCMag which interviewed OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, we learn that Nord N10 and Nord N100 were big hits for OnePlus. So the company is trying to recreate and step up that success with the OnePlus Nord N200 which offers N10’s features for the price of the much cheaper N100.
"From the premium and ultra-premium OnePlus 9 series to the OnePlus Nord N200 5G—our newest 5G device at most affordable Oneplus mobile price ever—we’re providing more choices and easier access to 5G for our users," Mr. Lau remarked in the interview.
PCMag further reports that the Nord N200 will feature a 6.49” LCD screen with a Full HD resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s an upgrade from the 720P LCD of the Nord N100 from last year. Also, the chipset inside now supports 5G.
Coming back to the design, the Nord N200 has a hole-punch display with larger bezels all around. The shell has a subtle gradient finish, a rounded camera plate, and a side-facing thumbprint reader etched into the spine. Three lenses are arranged inside the camera housing.
Mukul Sharma, better known as @stufflistings, tweets that the Nord N200 5G is slated for launch on June 15, right on the heels of the Nord CE 5G that is debuting in India and Europe this week.
