Oppo has a new entry-level phone lined up for launch soon. All-new A16, the successor to last year’s Oppo A15, has already been certified all over the world. And it was just found listed on the cross-platform benchmark, Geekbench. The scorecard gives us insight into the phone’s performance and internal specs.

As featured on the benchmark, the title Oppo A16 belongs to the model CPH2269. It has the old-gen MediaTek Helio G35 at its heart, which works with 3GB of memory and the latest Android11-based ColorOS.

The CPU is split into eight cores, clocked at 2.3GHz. Oppo A16 manages 177 points on its single-core tests and 950 points on multi-core benchmarks.

European, Indonesian, Singaporean, Malaysian, and American authorities have certified the Oppo A16. The publicly available information confirms that the Oppo new mobile phone is backed by a 4980 mAh battery — roughly 700 mAh bigger this year.

This cell lacks any fast charging support since the power is capped at 10W. Oppo has also moved the fingerprint scanner; the A15 had a rear-facing sensor, but it is merged with the power button in this new device.

No official launch details have been shared yet, but the Oppo A16 should be coming soon, based on the many certifications it has already cleared. We’ll keep you posted as the story develops.
